We had to reschedule our Endo appointment, but we did get to see our Diabetes Educator - who is a God Send - Celia Henderson, National Children's Medical Center in Washington, DC - we went over numbers and only needed one change. Nasara does have a crack in her pump - so I will call Deltec to get a replacement - prayerfully - it won't be a problem. In any event, we are waiting for the arrival of our baby - I don't know whether it is a boy or girl - I like surprises. Nasara is very excited and has LOTS of LOVE to give. Tomorrow - I have a meeting with an IEP team (for the 3rd time) trying to get an IEP for Nasara - this story has evolved - I will post my letter that has received some important attention - overall - it is so sad that if a parent or guardian of a type 1 child - does not advocate for his or her rights, they would fall through the cracks - this is unacceptable - our children deserve every opportunity and/or access to state or federal programs that will assist them in being successful students - they all are destined for greatness. Peace and Blessings
