My daughter said she was tired of "sticking" herself and wanted to put her pump back on. She had been on a "pump holiday" since August 11, 2007. Initially, we welcomed the break since we were going to the beach for week and "we" needed the freedom from not having to worry about any potential damage to the pump. But most important - this is only GOD - the second week of school she was hit by a car - GOD is GOOD - she suffered no broken bones - however she did get banged up - and we were so glad she did not have her pump on - because it clearly would have been damaged - and added another element during her initial ER evaluation.
